Finding the Perfect Site!

So, I know it all seems pretty overwhelming when you are planning a wedding for the first time! One of the first things you need to figure out is the venue you want to have your wedding at. This is a main priority because choice locations can be booked up, even up to a year and a half in advance! So as soon as you know that you are going to be planning a wedding, start your research on venues.

There are a lot of things to consider! Questions you want to ask yourself are: Do you want to have an in state or out of state wedding? Do you want the location close to home if in state? What time of the year do you want to get married: spring, summer, winter, or fall? Do you want to have an outside wedding, or an inside wedding?

All of these questions can help you quickly narrow your areas of research down. After you figure out the answers to these questions, you want to make a list of all the venues that fit your criteria; after all, it is all up to you! When you have a list of all the venues is when you start to do research on all the different choices.

There are a variety of ways to research a venue: read about the venue online, visit the venue and call the venue and have them mail you more information. You always want to make sure to be educated on everything about the venue before making your final decision. Good luck! I hope this starts you off in the right direction!
