The new bulging bride this week is named Kimberly. She is getting married in 6 weeks and she cannot fit into her wedding dress. Kimberly has very bad habits that have caused her to gain weight.
First of all she loves to snack, but these are not your normal healthy snacks these snacks include chips, candy and other sweets. She also does not eat a healthy breakfast but instead eats bad breakfasts that are high in fat and sugar. Last but not least she drinks a mocha everyday, which has added an additional 74,000 calories a year to her diet!
Kimberley started the program with a height of 5′3 and a weight of 161lbs. She was instructed to do full body exercises (which burn more calories) and do 3 hours of cardio and 3 hours of resistance training a week. She was told to focus on her core. For her nutrition plan her diet was cut from eating 2,600 calories a day to eating 1,600 calories a day. Her nutrition plan is listed below along with some of her main workouts.
Breakfast: 1 piece of multigrain toast, 1 table spoon natural peanut butter, 1 table spoon light jam and 1/2 cup of cottage cheese (310 calories)
Lunch: Half whole-wheat turkey pita, 100 grams of turkey, jammed with fresh veggies, avocado and carrots. (314 calories)
Dinner: 4 oz. of grilled chicken, 1 table spoon olive oil, corn on the cob with 1 table. Butter, 2 cups of salad and a light vinaigrette dressing. (500 calories)
For Snacks:
Light String Cheese
Hummus with vegetables
1/4 cup of unsalted almonds
Her Workout:
Row machine
Sit ups holding the medicine ball between legs
Lunges
Back extensions
Regular pushes ups but then stand up and jump and then back down again
Kimberly worked really hard and after 6 weeks she had dropped 14 lbs and 15 inches total! She looked amazing in her dress!
So my fiancé and I are still working on getting out the save the dates. I know what you are thinking… but it is a lot harder then you would imagine. We both have very busy lifestyles and on top of that our friends are very busy and hard to get a hold of. I am almost done with my list and my fiancé well he is working in that direction. The goal is to get them out by tomorrow so we are both going to need to be very persistent to just get them done.
One way I feel we have been able to make a lot of progress is to stay in touch with people on social networks sites such as face book, my space and twitter. With all of the new resources available on the web it is important to take advantages of all the great communication methods. It is funny sometimes the only way I can get hold of people is through face book! Who knew?
I feel like after we get the save the dates out that the rest is all down hill. The big day seems to be creeping up on us a lot faster then I thought it ever would. I feel like we are pretty on top of all the details and now it is just staying on top of all the details. When I sit back and think of all the preparation that goes into one day I get very overwhelmed. The best way to look at it is one step at a time.
Best of luck brides to be – my future advice on save the dates would be set a goal to get them out on a certain date and stick to that goal!
With four months to go my fiancé and I are getting very excited. When we first got engaged we already had chosen in our minds are top pick for photographers, videographers and wedding DJ. For our Portland Wedding DJ we had our mind set on Event Team Entertainment!
You may wonder with all the DJ’s that are out there how do you find the one that will make your wedding unforgettable…well my fiancé and I knew from the first wedding we attended where Event Team Entertainment was in charge.
It was the first time my now fiancé and I reconnected. You see we actually used to play together when we were younger and we did not even realize that our lives had connected long before we could remember!
I was the maid of honor at my sister’s wedding and my now fiancé was just an average wedding guest. It all started that night on the dance floor! We danced all night together thanks to Shawn the Wedding Entertainment Director! He did an amazing job and kept the party going all night!
From that night on I knew if I ever found the right person to marry…. (Who knew I had :) that Shawn would be my first choice hands down
