The colors of a fall wedding; Capturing the warmth of leaves, fire, and the natural beauty of nature’s fall-time.

From huge bouquets of reds, oranges, browns, and yellows—to the natural look of dark oaks and leaves falling everywhere—Fall weddings are by far my favorite. Maybe because of the endless possibilities of colors and accents, or the many options of food items on a fall menu. The warmth of fall-time is my ideal perception of the perfect wedding.

In 2010, I went to a total of five weddings, all during the month of September and October. This is when my fall-time wedding fantasy began.

I fell in love with the flower bouquets, the accents of small and big pumpkins, in whites and creams and oranges. I loved the idea of big white candles and huge fire places, garlands of leaves and fall flowers. I loved all the photos of brides and grooms in pumpkin patches and wide open fields with brightly colored fall-changed trees in the background. The butternut squash soup served in authentic pumpkins with cinnamon croutons was perhaps my favorite. All of this, and much much more, turned my mind on overdrive, and hasn’t stopped since.

Instead of rose petals flourishing the bridal party’s walkway down the aisle, how about dry leaves? Or how about a cake topped with pine cones, acorns, leaves or fall holly foliage?

I know that there can be these endless ideas, contorted and made appropriate for any other month for a wedding—but I just can’t understand anyone denying the beauty of a fall wedding. :)

Back in Business!

The wedding blogger has returned! I’m back, and SO ready for more wedding-blogging action! My previous blogs had been in-depth posts relative to the necessities and ideas for the best day of married woman’s life. This blog was my way to express my creative freedom in wedding planning, while following my own experience of planning my own wedding! I had discussed the importance of consistency in monthly planning, following through, and finally, following up after the vows. However, I’ve missed writing in this blog terribly!! I love the anticipation, participation, and consideration, (my rhythmic writing is getting really pretty intense I guess!), that goes into the stacks upon stacks of thoughts and actions that go into the best day of a couple’s life. Now that I’ve experienced what I’d orginially been talking about, I’m ready to pass on knowledge and tips to other brides-to-be!

I want to make a step back into this wedding scene…the place that I adore so much! And because I don’t know if I could actually handle carrying out the action of being a real wedding planner, here I am to be the talk of wedding planning! :) picture-1

I believe that planning should begin as soon as the engagement has occured, because you’d be so incredibly surprised to the amount of work and time that goes into this wonderful day. That is why I, along with many other wedding bloggers, am here to help and give advice, both from experience and how I learned from the errors that I ran into along the way.

I am so excited to get this blog back in action! Please say you will follow me along this journey (again) of everything that is critical into a rememberable wedding!

Getting in Shape for the Big Day

girlsworkingoutMy wedding is five months away and it is going to be the most important day of my life! For the past couple of months I have been running to get in shape for my wedding. Running is a great way to burn a lot of calories and help shed unwanted fat. I started my workout routine in November and have been pretty consistent up until a recent toe injury! My toe is starting to feel better and soon I will be back in the gym.

Before I injured my toe I went to the gym 3 times a week and was running an average of 3 miles every time I was at the gym. If you want to tone up for your big day not only is cardio important but also a good weight resistance-training program is necessary to tone up and drop those unwanted pounds.

I know it can be overwhelming if you are not familiar with the gym and its equipment. If you are a new member of a club be sure to take advantage of the free consultation all gym’s offer to new members. I know personal training is expensive, but with your consultation it is free and usually one hour. You can ask questions and make sure you are using the equipment correctly.

A healthy diet is the most important aspect of a training program, without a healthy diet you will sabotage your ending results.  I have been watching a show on the fine living channel called “Bulging Brides” every episode has a great food plan and exercise routine that guarantees results! If you do not have access to this show I will post the notes I take from the show each week that list both diet and exercises to maximize your results. Continue to check back – the posts will be under my Fitness Category.

A Destination Wedding

I know what you are thinking…you are wondering where this post is going. Don’t worry after all of the work we have put into planning the wedding I am not about to change locations. Don’t get me wrong a destination wedding always crosses a brides mind at least once when she first is putting ideas together about a wedding. Maybe it is because it sounds exotic and exciting. We defiantly thought about it and it was just not the right choice for us. We were happy to know that if we did change our mind we had already booked a great destination wedding photographer.

When I did think about a destination wedding I knew there were pros and cons to having one. The pros of course being the excitement of the whole trip, having family and friends join you form a far and of course the breath taking photos from an exotic location. But then I got to thinking about the cons! You know the cost for everyone to fly to your destination, the stress of getting everyone to one location safe and the stress of planning a wedding in an environment you are not very familiar with. When I looked at the pros and cons I knew what would be the right decision. If a destination wedding is something you are considering make sure to do your homework ☺
