The Best Wedding Entertainment Around

dancing With four months to go my fiancé and I are getting very excited. When we first got engaged we already had chosen in our minds are top pick for photographers, videographers and wedding DJ. For our Portland Wedding DJ we had our mind set on Event Team Entertainment!

You may wonder with all the DJ’s that are out there how do you find the one that will make your wedding unforgettable…well my fiancé and I knew from the first wedding we attended where Event Team Entertainment was in charge.

It was the first time my now fiancé and I reconnected. You see we actually used to play together when we were younger and we did not even realize that our lives had connected long before we could remember!

I was the maid of honor at my sister’s wedding and my now fiancé was just an average wedding guest. It all started that night on the dance floor! We danced all night together thanks to Shawn the Wedding Entertainment Director! He did an amazing job and kept the party going all night!

From that night on I knew if I ever found the right person to marry…. (Who knew I had :)  that Shawn would be my first choice hands down :)

Bulging Brides Episode 3

italian-food This episode was about a bride named Desiree. She only has 6 weeks until her wedding and her dress is too small! Desiree loves to eat food! She is Italian and her family loves to eat pastas, breads, rich sauces and drinks lots and lot of wine. Now all of these foods can be enjoyed in moderation but Desiree has taken these rules way past the limit. The first thing Desiree had to do was agree to a strict nutrition plan. Her meal plan is listed below:

Breakfast - 1/2-cup plain oatmeal with cinnamon, small nonfat yogurt, 1/2 cup cottage cheese - (400 calories)

Snack - Banana

Lunch - Seven vegetable soup, 1 table spoon cream cheese, 3 wheat crackers, and 2 veggie dogs. (350 calories)

Snack - Cheese stick, veggie dog

Dinner - Prawn Stir fry - 4oz. prawns with lots of veggies, 1/2-tablespoon olive oil

For Desiree’s meal plan she is only allowed to drink water.

As for her work out plan it is listed below:

3 hours of cardio/3 hours weights - every week

Chest presses

Running for cardio

Bicep curls

Overhead press

Squats

Push-ups

The good news is Desiree was diligent and kept to her meal plan and cardio routine. She was a beautiful bride by her wedding date and fit into her dress perfectly!

The Guest List

guestlist So we are about 4 months out from our big day and it is time to get the save the dates - in the mail! You know what that means - we have to finalize our guest list. Now this may sound easy but when you are on a budget it is not as easy as you would think! My fiancé and I were up until 1 am trying to finalize our guest list. The problem with my fiancé and I is we both come from large families and we both have a lot of friends!

Are goal is to stay under 200 people if we can help it. To make it easier on ourselves we are taking it one step at a time. The first step is we both came up with a solid list of people we wanted to invite. The next step is to type up the list and organize the guests into categories. The four categories we are putting our guests in are Brides Friends/Brides Family and Grooms Friends/Grooms Family. By dividing the guest list into categories we have a clear idea of how many people we are each inviting.

My fiancé and I want the guest list to be as even as possible as far as both getting to have our closest friends and family at the wedding. The next step is the hardest part - cutting the people that just don’t make the list. When you are looking at a certain cost per head sometimes you have to be pretty picky who makes the cut. I will let you ladies know how all of this goes - once we get that far!
